The Millennium Stadium is the place for Welsh rugby! It is a very popular venue, with over 1,000,000 visitors each year. It hosts major sporting events, including the Rugby World Cup, RBS Six Nations and FA Cup, and boasts a UEFA 5 star rating. It hosted the first Olympic football competition in 2012. But there’s much more at this fantastic centre – motor sport, music, football, boxing, conferences and more.

This fantastic arena was built between 1997 and 1999 (using 56,000 tonnes of steel and concrete) and has an overall seating capacity for 74,500 spectators. [You may also be interested to know that it has 7 lifts, 12 escalators, 17 first aid rooms, 640 hand basins, 760 toilet pans and 1650 smoke/heat detectors!).

The Millennium Stadium hosts major concert tours by leading artists, including Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.
